Thirurangadi Municipality and Cheekode, Kalikav, Marakara, Thenjipalam, Puzhakattiri, Kannamangalam, Munniyur, Athavanad, Pandikkad, Nannammuk, Areekode,Porur, Pulamanthol, Vengara, Murkanad and Aliparum gram panchayats are in the list of local bodies collecting less than 25 percent user fee in the month of April.
Municipalities of Perinthalmanna, Valanchery, Parappanangadi and village panchayats of Keezhatoor, Moothedam, Kaladi, Bailoor, Valavannoor and Othukungal are leading in doorstep collection. On June 6 at 10 am, the Sanitation Mission will organize a workshop with the participation of young professionals, solid waste management engineers and thematic experts.The meeting also decided to instruct the school authorities through the office of the Deputy Director of Education to conduct the school entrance festival in full compliance with the green code of conduct. Panchayat Deputy Director VK Murali presided over the meeting.
