Helping hand by MA Yousafali and Ravi Pillai to the families of those killed in the Kuwait fire

Thiruvananthapuram: Financial assistance has been handed over to the families of four people from Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta who died in the fire at the workers’ accommodation in Kuwait. A total of Rs 14 lakh for each family through NORCA, including Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Rs 5 lakh from prominent businessman and NORCA Roots Vice Chairman MA Yousafali, and Rs 2 lakh each from prominent businessman and NORCA Director Dr. Ravi Pillai and Lok Kerala Sabha member and Fokana President Babu Stephen. Provided as financial assistance.
Public Education and Employment Department Minister V. Sivankutty handed over the financial assistance to the family of Arun Babu, a native of Poovathur in Nedumangad, to Aarti Thankappan, sister of Sreejesh, a resident of Varkala Edawa in Thiruvananthapuram, and Food and Public Distribution Department Minister GR Anil. In Pathanamthitta, Minister of Health Veena George visited the houses of Bindu Anu Saju, wife of Saju Varghese, and Geeta Murali, wife of Muralidharan Nair, in Vazamuttam East.
M.L. A Maraya V. Joy, G. Stephen and KU Jinish Kumar participated in their respective functions. Varkala Block Panchayat President Smitha Sundaresan, District Panchayat Member Geeta Naseer, District Collectors Jeromik George, Prem Krishnan, Varkala Tehsildar Asif Riju from Norka Roots, Chief Executive Officer Ajith Kolassery, Manager Firoz Shah, Center Manager Zafarulla and others were with the ministers at various places. Other public representatives and officials were also present. Aid money will be handed over to the families of 23 people who died in the Kuwait tragedy. For the rest, the financial assistance will be handed over in the coming days.
